DARWIN BARNEY, Oregon State’s All-Pac-10 junior shortstop celebrates his second inning two-run home run in the finals of the NCAA College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska June 24. Beaver’s co-captain and on- and off-leader Barney, slick-fielding second baseman Joey Wong, power hitter Mike Lissman, clutch designated hitter Jason Ogata and speedy outfielder Koa Kahalehoe led the Beavers to a 9-3 win over the North Carolina Tar Heels and a dominant performance throughout the CWS.
