According to her MySpace page, Cate Song knows why the caged bird sings. Cate is a 28 year-old who hails from the borough of Queens, New York City. She’s an accountant from 9-5 on weekdays, and by night she’s a just-below-the-radar singer/songwriter/pianist whose heartfelt lyrics and emotional vocals are attracting a rapidly growing following. She released her first album, Images, last year.

Well, today I listened to all of Song’s stuff. A child of Korean America who can honestly say that all those childhood piano lessons paid off, Cate’s the real deal—great lyricist, jazzy piano riffs, stylish vocalist, detail-oriented auditor.
